A British citizen born in Graz, Austria in 1949, only daughter and youngest child of a World War II soldier with 3 older brothers to contend with. “A different kind of childhood” tells the story of a childhood influenced by military traditions and Victorian prudeness, and of insecurity, willfulness and rootlessness.
