Closer

This is the man who, over the past decade, has taken amazing photographs of many of the world’s leading musicians. Closer is a collection of the works of Søren Solkær Starbird, a Danish photographer who has risen to astronomical heights in the world of international photography. His portraits, ranging from deep and intimate studies to large format cinematic scenes shot in mind-blowing locations, have been featured in the world’s leading magazines for which Søren Solkær Starbird also has worked: Q, GQ, Arena, Rolling Stone and Wallpaper. Many of the photographs have been commissioned by major and Indie labels and the bands themselves.
Artists featured in this, his second volume of work, include young, upcoming artists such as Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, The White Stripes and The Killers, together with established music icons such as U2, Oasis, Robert Plant, Metallica, Damon Albarn, Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Björk, and Paul McCartney.
