We are a family of five consisting of highly sensitive and non-highly sensitive persons. When we speak of high sensitivity, we refer to the theory that psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron has researched and written about for more than 20 years.
This book is a personal account of what it is like being highly sensitive, what it is like being married to a highly sensitive person, and what it is like being married to a non-highly sensitive person. It is not meant as a guide to what high sensitivity is. Furthermore, the book is an account of our challenges as parents of highly sensitive children and how we have attempted to tackle these challenges throughout their childhood and youth.
