When William Thurston, member of World Study, a new religious movement in southern Africa is invited to join a select group of members in the newly independent colony of Cecilia, he leaves his home, family and life. William is met with friends, purpose and a rare opportunity to meet the founder of the faith, Emmanuel T. Wilbur. Although William is initially excited to work with Wilbur on the next revolution in spiritual enlightenment, William quickly discovers that World Study is built on a crumbling foundation.
